Thank you Carmen ....................
These are the beautiful blocks that arrived in today's mail - Tile block in black and white with one patch a solid colour.
It is a great block that can be rotated for placement, any patch can be coloured, it can be scrappy or any other colour scheme with same sashing throughout the final project - table runner, quilt, placemats.
Love these blocks, thank you so much Carmen, Jan

November
Our November swap is complete.
I am so thrilled to post my block from Karen P
along with what a special gift she enclosed.
Karen P sent me this lovely made "monkey-wrench block"
for the collection. I am nearing to the last few to put them together! Yeah!
Along with my block she sent a lovely put together packet of maps of Australia,
where she is from, a few postcards showing different lovely lil-towns and a beautiful typed letter about her family and locations!
Karen knew we home schooled and I told her we always look up where my swap partner lives.
Geography! Smile
Well, this sweet put together packet of information is a gem to us and so much fun to see where so
many of you are from!
We are putting this in our learning center as a learning tool now!
That's was such a kind thing for her to do.
You see it's so much more that the blessing of lovely blocks right ladies, it's getting to know each other and make friends from all over! Thank you Karen!
Now we would so love to come visit... smile
Karen had requested a church dash and in blues & white as it's for a gentlemen's quilt!
This is the block that I did for her...
Hope it fits with her collection
Blessings~

October and November...
My October partner Margaret wished for a
Dresden Plate on black in bright colours...
we did have a bit of a problem with the size as the pattern made it a
''wee bit bigger'' hahaha
My November partner Beth wished for a Wild Duck block in
any two colours with a white background...
Thanks ladies for being my partners...

November blocks ......................
Carmen asked for a Box Kite in black, white and red. These are the blocks I sent - different looks, by the arrangement of the colours. Hoping you are pleased Carmen.
Lorna asked for Any Star in pink, burgundy, green and cream. These are my blocks to Lorna -
The centre of the first star is a deep pink, not the red it appears in the photo. I hope they fit well in your quilting project Lorna.
Happy stitching partners,
Jan

Its not OK-
After a rather unpleasant situation resulting in a suspended member I remind everyone of our simple group rules....
1. When you receive your partners details, email them to confirm the swap BEFORE making and sending a block.
2. If you do not get a reply in a timely manner ( allow a week at least) let the swap coordinator know
(not everyone is on email every day).
We will try and contact the member for you, and can allocate a new swap partner if contact is not established.
3. If you wish to sit out a month or two let us know, you can sit out for up to three months without losing your space in the group.
4. Blocks need to be made and posted by the end of each month, if you are running late email your partner and let them know and cc in the swap coordinator so we can be aware of this too.
5. One side swaps are not OK, so if you have done everything in step 1-4, and you have not received a block or any confirmation that it is posted by the end of the first week of the following month email your partner and cc the swap coordinator in so we are aware that there is a potential risk of a one sided swap.
Your partner will be RED FLAGGED, until you let the swap coordinator know that you have received your block from them, and their current partner will be advised of the potential risk and given the opportunity to have a new partner assigned if they wish.
The Red flag will be lifted when the swap has been honoured. If the swap is not honoured within the month then the member will be suspended from the group.
I trust that all members will respect this process and understand the difficulties faced by swap coordinators in chasing up late swaps.
The most important rule here is if you communicate all will be fine.

November swap with Jo
Jo requested a star block in country colours. I could not decide which star to stitch as I wanted to try both - "Centennial" is on the left. "Star Beams" is on the right. I hope these fit in well with your project, Kerry
