My Wonky Square Eye Spy quilt .....

This is the quilt I have made from blocks Wonky Square Eye Spy blocks collected in 2011 and 2012.  As you can see I added some rainbow charms to the sides to widen the top.

People who contributed to this quilt by swapping blocks with me are.....

Beatrice, Raelene, Terry
Maria, Bobbi, Maria
Marie, Crafty, Teresa
Anorina, Sue, Sheila
Michell, Jolanda, Sylvia

THANK YOU to all of you.... a really fun quilt ...

There are a couple more blocks that weren't included in this quilt and I plan to make cushions with them.....

I quilted it with a FMQ swirl all over ...

... can see them easier and get an idea of size of the swirls from this picture on the back...

.. what do you think of this fun backing... an almost new doona (duvet) cover I found in the op shop, which I also used in the binding

Thanks Sue for hosting this fun swap
(now I need to get my Churn Dashes together!!!)

Righto, Gotto Go..... there is fun to be had......

I was lucky enough to do a double swap this month and yesterday my first block arrived....

This naughtical theme Wonky Square in Eye Spy fabrics is from Sue...

.... and she sent some extra fabrics which I am so grateful for
(I don't really have eye spy fabrics {which of course is why I asked others to make them!!)
I am already imagining an interesting back and label..... mmmmm)

Somethings fishy

Fiona is my partner for July, and I know its still June but I could not wait to play with some eye spy fabrics and make her a wonky square.

I decided to do an ocean theme:
 what can you spy?

... it came with some lovely home gelatin dyed pieces Marie did herself... how special...

Marie also wanted a Wonky Square but in earthy autumny colours:

(sorry - the picture is awfully dark - the block wasn't this dull..... I promise!!)

January block

This is my January block from Sandi yesterday... it had to come all the way from Florida.....

I have asked for 'Wonky Squares' for an I Spy quilt.....

Sandi tells me these skunks make amazing pets..... though if you annoy them they will give you a squirt of notsonice perfume!!  It is a great addition to my newly developing quilt..... thanks Sandi...

Fiona's block(s) from Rosemary

I have just started swapping blocks and Rosemary has done my first block for my Eye Spy quilt.....
it is a Wonky Square.....

I love how there are several of the Australian animals in it.

~ Thanks so much Rosemary - I love it ~

I had originally asked for disappearing Nine-Patch and Rosemary did make one for me, I agree with her that Eye Spy does not really lend itself best to the disappearing Nine-patch... but she sent the block she has made and I do like it.... and will use it on something else.... a mug rug maybe?

I haven't seen these fabrics and they are so lovely.... makes me want to go out shopping!!

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas
