It was totally unneccessary and very kind but ChristieLeigh made me another....

... and added a fat quarter of that lovely print with it....

July blocks...

Today I received my Churn Dash block from Noelene... thanks very much....

... goes perfectly with my others...

I sent Noelene this Braced Star....

I have to admit I really struggled with this one and this was my third version.... first time ever I was ready to give up with a block... it's effective though - I like her choice of the black and yellow

May blocks ............

I swapped with Carin in May and today this beautifully made churn dash arrived in my post box....

... with some lovely extra's - a Swedish chocolate (I promise it is was very yummy) and a lovely hardanger bookmark....

Carin asked for a Depression block in teal and turquoises on a cream background and this is what I sent....

This is the first time I have done one of these blocks... love it....

April blocks.....

Deb sent me this lovely Churn Dash block....

.. it's getting cold here in the evenings and I really don't like cold ears so this is perfect...

This is the block I sent to Debra who asked for any star in purple and violets ..... with a cream on cream background.... I hope there is enough purples in this.....

Since it is our QBSA's third birthday I sent a stitched initial using one of Michelle's initial patterns - stitched in purples and violets... and a skein of violet thread

January Blocks

Petah and I swapped blocks this month....

Petah asked for a Log Cabin... one side in neutrals and the other in brights

a challenge for me as I don't work with a lot of brights.....

I asked for a Churn Dash in muted civil war type colours....

a challenge for Petah as she doesn't work in a lot of muted!

I thought it was funny we both had blocks to make with fabrics out of our usual colour zones....

but that's what the block swap is great for... expanding our horizons?

I've decided to do more in brights now... thanks Petah....

March block received ......

Tanya was my block swappie for March and this week this lovely churn dash arrived in my post box

we also swapped patterns and Tanya sent this lovely foundation piecing project which I had admired on her blog... she added some of her left over fabrics to give me a start to it... maybe I can see a frog being made?
