Blocks from Helen P
February 12" blocks from Helen P arrived safely today, ahead of the cyclone that is looming over northern tip of Australia. Helen stitched me Scrapbagger and Goose Creek blocks, and included extra fabric for my project. Thanks kindly, I love them. Kerry

January Swap
I received this beautiful block today from Brenda in Ohio. It's called Stripes a Spinning - one for the future perhaps (looks a little technical to me).

Thank you

December blocks from Spain
Encarna was my December 12" partner - she stitched me 3 delightful "Scrapbagger" blocks, and also included some handmade wooden buttons. My planned project is a scrappy quilt made of Scrapbagger and Goose Creek blocks. Thank you, Kerry
Special December swap
Anna was my December swap partner.
When she had received her block from me I received a beautiful card through e-mail
thanking me for her package along with , letting me know she was a wee-bit behind on mine.
Oh what with the Christmas season, life in general...that was absolutely fine.
Oh my, when the mail came and this big envelope was in my box from Anna I wondered
"what could be in here"?
Look at the sweet surprise and beautiful blocks!
Anna & I had emailed a couple times as well and I shared with her I had a daughter named Anna,
how fun is that.
Well, I was blessed with not one, two but three beautiful blocks!
I also received a mug-rug, ornament, felt flower, a sweet postcard about your lovely Australia and the sweetest lil-Koala bear...he is hanging on my sewing machine! Smile
These three blocks will now make my quilt top! Yeah! They are beautiful!
Thank you so much for a lovely swap Anna
Blessings~

QBSA 2014 Challenge - take the pledge
I am putting up a challenge for ALL members of QBSA for 2014.
One of the things a quilter always says is that they need to finish their UFO's - so with that in mind lets all agree to make ONE ITEM in 2014, either a quilt, table runner, cushion its up to you, BUT it needs to be made with a BLOCK or BLOCKS received in a swap with QBSA.

Here are some photos of blocks I have missed blogging about:
August block from Tracey
November blocks from Encarna in Spain - finally arrived in January :)
I think Encarna's package went on a bit of a Christmas Holiday for a while before it arrived here in Australia - not too sure where it went after it was put it in the mail :( but it was so lovely to open it and find these little gems inside :) Thank you Encarna, it was worth the wait :)
