How to JOIN quilting block swaps Australia

Hello and thank you for visiting. This is a community group for all Australian quilters to join or just follow. Membership is FREE and you are partnered each month and we make each other a 12 inch quilt block based on our preferences which we swap. (12.5 inches raw edge to raw edge) The emphasis of the group is on friendship and sharing. To find out more or register to join email me on quiltingblocks@hotmail.com This purpose of this blog is to chat and showcase blocks and quilts made by members, kind of like a show and tell . Yours in stitching, Sue

QBSA 2014 Challenge - take the pledge

I am putting up a challenge for ALL members of QBSA for 2014.

made by Maria W
One of the things a quilter always says is that they need to finish their UFO's - so with that in mind lets all agree to make ONE ITEM in 2014, either a quilt, table runner, cushion its up to you, BUT it needs to be made with a BLOCK or BLOCKS received in a swap with QBSA.

made by Anorina M
A new page will be set up on the blog, and a file on the face book page to share the item once you have completed it.

made by Cathy C
Please comment on here to pledge your commitment to this challenge.   At the end of the year I will host a give away ( details TBA) and all of the ladies that have entered the challenge will have a chance to win.

made by Leena L
You do not need to decide now what your item will be, ALL you need to do IS pledge to take part.

Hope to have enough blocks by the end of the year to make another quilt....

I may not be a current participant/member of the swap groups anymore, but after being a part of two of the groups for almost 2 years, I have been able to set aside for-sure enough blocks to make at least a few items - a quilt, a table runner, and maybe a few cushion covers. I am hoping to put these together later in the year :D ... Looking forward to see what everyone else has made by years' end!!
