Block Update

Well blocks are finally done and off in the mail tomorrow and my new machine is going like a breeze.

For my March swap I received this lovely block from Kerry

And this is Kerry's block.  The photo does not do it justice   My camera was flat so had to use my phone.  It is pale yellow and grey.

Then for my April block I am sending this block to Lorraine here in New Zealand.

This is the Pinwheel block Terry sent me.

CathyC's Catchup

Once again, I have been remiss in posting blocks sent and received here in the group blog - hangs head in shame :(

October - sent to Debbie

here is what Debbie sent me ;-)

November- sent to Janeene.
12-11 for Janeene
This block has been sent to Janeene, but unfortunately, I haven't heard if it has arrived and I haven't received a block in return  :(

December - Dawn
As I have had no contact from this partner, I have kept this block for myself ;-)

I was most unfortunate to finish off 2012 get two 'one-sided' swappers in a row - most frustrating :(

January 2013
sent to Karen

two GORGEOUS blocks from Karen

Block Update

Edited to add my blog is back and running better than ever, so using that again.

So I have not posted about my blocks lately. I wonder if blogger had anything to do with that? So here are some.

Now for the most recent blocks (December) for OBAS I had the pleasure of swapping with Fiona. We both wanted civil war fabrics. I think they turned out pretty fab.

This one is from me to Fiona

And then from Fiona to me was this one. I snagged this photo Fiona took from QBAS.

November blocks were received too. This time I was partnered with Cathy from the USA. She wanted 1930′s or similar fabric and what better excuse to going internet shopping.

So here is my Churn Dash to her.

And here is another Pinwheel received

August and September

For August I had Donna and she asked for any block sampler style, so I thought how about my favorite block..... a Pinwheel.  I even used some of my treasured Civil War reproduction fabrics too.

August to Donna

Well I am pretty well onto it and have already completed my September block which I will post away with a few other swaps tomorrow.

Leena asked for Spools, with the thread as stripes.  I initially thought I had no striped material and was going to going shopping tomorrow but then found some this morning, so this afternoon have whipped one up.

Sent to Leena

Hope you girls like them/

Best Wishes

March block for Dawn

Hopefully by now, Dawn's block for March has arrived safely ;-)

Dawn asked for any block in a south west colour scheme - Browns, Oranges, sage greens, golds - I must admit, I had to Google it to get a better idea of what it was.  I had very few greens, so I stayed with the browns, oranges & golds.

Block for Tarnyia and Last Months Blocks from Erin

Here is my block for Tarnyia.  I had two choices. A red star with a blue/aqua background or Scrappy Spiders Web.  Well the scrappy Spiders web just scared me as it look a bit beyond my capabilities currently, so I made the Friendship Star instead.  Hope she likes it and will be posting in the next couple of days.

And these two are what I received from Erin.   I'm so lucky to have got two. Thankyou.
