Hi Ladies, as most of you would know I have been running this group now for almost 12 months, then I introduced a Christmas swap and looked after that for a few months before Crafty Pugs offered to take over the reins. I then capped the membership of the group when it got to 50 members and Alex started up group 2 for all new and future members.
I have been having thoughts about a similar group making smaller 6 inch blocks per month, so we can make table runners, nursery quilts or busy quilts with lots more block in them or to mix and match the 12 inch blocks with 6 inch blocks in a quilt.
There is a poll on the side bar of this blog to vote on this idea and please comment below if you would be interested in this group. Membership would be open to all members of group one and group two as well as the Christmas group.
Personal invites to the new group will be sent out with the swap partners for March emails. But if you are not a member of group one please email me to register to sbelleli@bigpond.net.au
I look forward to your feedback on getting this one up and running.

How to JOIN quilting block swaps Australia
Hello and thank you for visiting. This is a community group for all Australian quilters to join or just follow. Membership is FREE and you are partnered each month and we make each other a 12 inch quilt block based on our preferences which we swap. (12.5 inches raw edge to raw edge) The emphasis of the group is on friendship and sharing. To find out more or register to join email me on quiltingblocks@hotmail.com This purpose of this blog is to chat and showcase blocks and quilts made by members, kind of like a show and tell . Yours in stitching, Sue

Hi Sue, sounds great but I think I can do no more at this stage..... maybe once I feel more confident with my blocks... good luck with it....

I am with Fiona at this stage. Think it is a good idea but I am snowed under with swaps right now.
sounds great would love to have a go, these swaps are fun,
sounds great would love to do it
I love small blocks so this would be great
any swap sounds good to me .. they are small .. interesting ... and just enough to keep me at my machine ... and they are all good things ...
I'd love to be part of a 6" block swap - it would give more flexibility in putting blocks together. Count me in - Teena
Sounds like a lot of fun. I had told myself no more swaps but who can pass up 6" blocks!!
I would love to but I am just a tad to busy at the moment.
I'm in too. 6" blocks are more easily adapted. Thanks.
I would love to enjoy the blocks swap. Anna from the Netherlands
