November and December turned out to be months for stars with Aborigine prints (forgive me if I use the wrong term, I just don't know what else to call them). I'm sorry the color in the pictures isn't quite right but I'll keep trying. Irene, my partner for November, sent this star with the coolest background fabric!
Robyn made this block, with the most interesting print. I haven't quite decided for sure but I think they must be critters - some look like turtles and others like birds but I'm just not sure. Perhaps you ladies would help me out with this.
This is certainly a fun swap. The patterns are familiar but the fabrics are so different!
Thank you so much, Irene and Robyn!

What great blocks. The fabrics in both are interesting and wonderful at the same time.
LOVE the fabric.....
You're right they are depictions of animals and in the first block you can make out the koala, boomerang, australia, kangaroo.
The Aboriginal prints are always beautifully bright. If you would like to visit my blog you can see pics of my very own Aussie symbol, Ollie. Oh and I agree, these blocks are fabulous.
These fabrics certainly lend themselves well to blocks, I may have to invest in some :)
