Hello everyone, Its that time of the month again when I send out your partners for the next months swap.
I will be starting to get these emails off this afternoon and again this evening so keep a look out for them.
It saddens me to hear that some of our blocks are not reaching their destinations, and it has been suggested that we perhaps send them by registered mail. This is up to the individual as it can add to the cost of the exercise, especially to those overseas. I will leave it up to you if you choose to do that or not.
Its really important that when you receive your email from me with your swap partners details that you touch base, not only to say hi and confirm preferences but also mailing details and so on. And let me know if I have any of these details incorrect so I can amend my data base.
Some times I do receive emails from members that are a bit snappy, because they have not heard from their partner yet, or their block choice was wrong. It upsets me when I get these because I do my best and offer my time to run this group but the odd mistake may happen. Remember too that not everyone, including me can be online everyday. Some members may only access their email once per week so be patient in relation to this.
Have fun with your December swaps, we have a number of members sitting out this month and I look forward to welcoming you all back on board in January.
Quilted hugs, Sue xx

How to JOIN quilting block swaps Australia
Hello and thank you for visiting. This is a community group for all Australian quilters to join or just follow. Membership is FREE and you are partnered each month and we make each other a 12 inch quilt block based on our preferences which we swap. (12.5 inches raw edge to raw edge) The emphasis of the group is on friendship and sharing. To find out more or register to join email me on quiltingblocks@hotmail.com This purpose of this blog is to chat and showcase blocks and quilts made by members, kind of like a show and tell . Yours in stitching, Sue

Hi Sue.... I'd love to join now (but realise it will be too late for December but that is okay) I think I should bite the bullet instead of waiting for the moment when I have 'time' haha.... I have never done a block swap before... am a relatively new quilter and not made many 'blocks'...

Hi Sue, thank you very much for running this swap.Unfortunately that is aust post for you..it sure is a shame to think our block may go missing but keep on that patching and hope they all turn up in the end...
I am really enjoying participating in the swap Sue and I think you do a wonderful job.
Thanks Heaps.
like the other girls Sue .. thank you for a job well done .... i used to work for AustPost ... and occassionally stuff went missing .. but ... more often than not it arrived ... i waited 3 months for a letter from Victoria to Queensland ... could have walked the distance faster ... lol ... but that's life ...
i love being part of your block swap .. and look forward to participating for a long time to come ... hugs ...
Hi Sue,
