January blocks for Anne James - whose request was Friendship Star in bright colours - I hope these colours are bright enough for you.
How to JOIN quilting block swaps Australia
Hello and thank you for visiting. This is a community group for all Australian quilters to join or just follow. Membership is FREE and you are partnered each month and we make each other a 12 inch quilt block based on our preferences which we swap. (12.5 inches raw edge to raw edge) The emphasis of the group is on friendship and sharing. To find out more or register to join email me on firstname.lastname@example.org This purpose of this blog is to chat and showcase blocks and quilts made by members, kind of like a show and tell . January swap blocks for Nelly Holmes whose request was ShooFly block in 1930s fabrics with a solid white background. I love 1930s fabrics and plan (one day) to make a quilt using them with the Circle Magic template.
February 12" blocks stitched for Judy Hogan whose request was any block in red and white - I selected Garden Path block, Rail Fence block (the reverse colour fabrics my daughter purchased in Thailand), and 5 minute quilt block.
These are the Jan-Feb 2017 Paper Piecing blocks I stitched for Dorothy Green who requested "Christmas Star" block in autumn colours. Dorothy is using her blocks to make quilts for the palliative care unit at her local hospital.
